A garden restaurant lost in the countryside, a few kilometers from Honfleur.
At Estelle and Guillaume, you are here at home. This young couple has turned the ground floor of this early 20th century house into a restaurant. The decoration is basic, but the prices are so competitive that you should be appreciative.

Especially if one has the chance to eat outside at one of the four teak tables, courgette soup or mackerel marinated in white wine, a b½uf with olives or a rabbit cooked in cider and an apple crumble.

Discover the family inn la Fraîchette

Open since October 1998, La Fraichette is in the middle of the Ablon countryside, 4 km from the center of Honfleur. Restored in such a way as to create a warm and friendly atmosphere, this ‘home’ proposes a restaurant and hotel service to all those who like to experience a meal or a night just like being at home.
Estelle and Guillaume Caubrière have transformed this lovely home into a simple family place that has the feel of the countryside. Nicely furnished, the house, the terrace and park offer the quiet charm of the colors and the sounds of nature ...

On the menu Guillaume concocts a range of diverse and traditional dishes made entirely from seasonal producte. Amateurs of good food can enjoy various dishes like duck breast salad, rabbit in cider, or even the Saint Marcellin roasted with bacon, cottage cheese with honey and crumble. Here there is no set menu, you choose what you want, various starters, main dishes and desserts are always featured on the blackboard.

On the banks of the peaceful river Orange, situated among orchards, La Fraîchette is stunning. Upon their return from London, Estelle and Guillaume decided to transform this house which dates from the turn of the 20th century into a colorful Normandy flavoured bistro. And to furnish it, Estelle trawled through auction houses in the region and even brought in his luggage his own crockery from England ...

His choice of recipes is deliberately simple and authentic, and produce comes exclusively from the region, Gonneville goat’s cheese, honey fom la Rivière-Saint-Sauveur and vegetables from Ablon. On sunny days two beautiful guest rooms are available upstairs. An ideal and unexpected place for a quiet ‘lunch on the grass’

Located 4 km from Honfleur in the bucolic countryside, this former mansion has been converted into a restaurant with rooms thanks to a young couple, Estelle and Guillaume Caubrière. Guillaume is a man who concocts cream of carrot soup, smoked herring quiche, a cake, a boeuf with olives or a veal in cider. Desserts are of the same ilk: Pear and chocolate crumble, cheese with honey.

Everything is simple and unpretentious, but which has that little ‘extra’ that guarantees the charm of this inventive cooking. Estelle, in turn, welcomes customers with charm and a smile. The rooms upstairs are simple and comfortable. A very good place for a very good price.

After six years in spent London, Estelle and Guillaume Caubrière fell in love with this pleasant residence nestling in the countryside. These two Honfleur residents returned to their roots. They decided to create a refreshing stop near to Honfleur but sufficiently far from the tourist crowds. A pretty terrace with parasols, two small bistro dining  rooms with warm colors, a know-how acquired as a Hilton hotel manager and our young couple now preside over a lovely peaceful haven.

With his simmering casseroles made from the produce to be found in neighboring farms, the cooking of Guillaume is simple, respectful of tastes and unfussy. Simplicity and authenticity describe Estelle’s smile that welcomes you with charm and warmth, you feel refreshed, happy and ready to make the most of everything

In a small house immersed in vegetation, where one feels miles away from bustling Honfleur; A most charming welcome. The dining room is tasteful. Meals are served near the fireplace in winter and on the terrace in summer. Local market cooking at bargain price (beef with olives, chicken and veal incider).

For your dessert, do not miss the seasonal fruit crumble! To vary his wine list, the young chef regularly seeks out little nuggets. Tearoom service in the afternoon.
